As Solutions Strategy Lead, you will be the driving force behind customer solution development, ensuring that Glide’s platform delivers high-value, tailored applications for businesses. This role blends solution engineering, product strategy, and customer engagement, with a strong emphasis on translating customer needs into scalable solutions and influencing Glide’s product roadmap. You will also oversee solution delivery, participating directly in the build process, and by managing a Solutions Engineer or subcontracting to Glide Experts.
Glide is not in the business of building apps for our customers in general–this role is part of a new initiative meant to get closer to our best customers, invent innovative new features to exceed our customers’ expectations, improve Glide’s ability to build these features, and prepare high-level starting templates that our sales team can use to convert customers more quickly.
Responsibilities
Customer Engagement & Solution Development
• Conduct in-depth interviews with customers to uncover their workflows, pain points, and software needs.
• Design, build, and customize Glide-based solutions to drive customer success.
• Provide hands-on guidance to customers throughout the implementation process.
• Travel occasionally for in-person customer engagements to refine and optimize their solutions.
Strategic Product Feedback & Process Optimization
• Serve as a direct feedback conduit between customers and Glide’s product and engineering teams.
• Identify common solution patterns and advocate for platform enhancements that streamline solution deployment.
• Contribute to best practices, internal documentation, and frameworks for repeatable customer implementations.
Team Management & Execution
• Oversee solution delivery by managing a Solutions Engineer or subcontracting work to certified Glide Experts.
• Ensure high-quality execution of customer projects, balancing efficiency and customization.
• Develop scalable processes for handling customer solution requests at increasing volume.
What We’re Looking For
• 5+ years of experience in solution engineering, sales engineering, or product management, preferably in SaaS or no-code/low-code platforms.
• Management experience, with the ability to lead a small team or subcontract work efficiently.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-first mindset.
• Ability to translate customer needs into scalable, repeatable solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
• Comfortable with technical development work, including database structuring and workflow automation.
• Ability to travel occasionally for in-person customer engagements.
