Official launch: The 2025 state of AI in operations report

In January 2025, we surveyed over 1,000 managers and senior business leaders to learn about where they are in the process of AI adoption and what impact AI technology is having on their operations. We are launching the resulting report today:

Learn about the state of AI in 2025

We set out on this research hoping we could learn more about where AI is falling short, what businesses are struggling with, and how the initial AI skepticism looks now that AI is making its way into more and more software. We thought we could deflate the hype a little and give businesses a realistic snapshot they could use to avoid common pitfalls and make a challenging technology actually work for them.

We were not able to do that.

The data we actually gathered pointed to something different—and much more positive. Businesses are optimistic about AI and solidly on the path towards widespread adoption. Even more strikingly, the businesses that are already successfully using AI are reporting really healthy results from it.

The report we’ve assembled tells the story of early-stage AI adoption in progress. We were able to identify some large gaps between different roles and industries (tech is way ahead of the curve, unsurprisingly). We dug into some of the fears holding businesses back and how those fears are justified—or not. We also discovered some critical elements that are making a difference for the businesses achieving transformational success with their AI technology.

Below are some of our key takeaways from the study. Please feel free to download, share, and start conversations about the results. And if you’re interested, click through above to read the full 2025 state of AI in operations report in detail. We can’t wait to hear your thoughts.
