We are thrilled to announce the launch of our newly improved and intuitively designed Learning Management System (LMS): Glide University. Our main goal is to provide an accessible, engaging, and progressive platform for users eager to learn Glide’s ins and outs.
The new Glide University has two interconnected apps: Glide University for learners and Glide Creator for those familiar with Glide who want to share their knowledge with the community. Each of these apps has been designed with a unique purpose and features to provide a comprehensive experience for learners and creators.
Glide University: Learning, Evolved
Glide University serves as the public-facing arm of our LMS. Users interact with this platform to engage in comprehensive Glide learning. We've designed it so that an account is not required to access learning materials, promoting inclusivity and encouraging curiosity for everyone. But should users choose to sign up, they'll unlock the ability to track course progress, bookmark content for later reference, and follow their favorite course creators.
One of the biggest enhancements to Glide University is our multi-filter search. We've streamlined how users find relevant learning content. In the past, content was separated by creator, whether it was made by us at Glide or by our expert contributors. Now, all course content is compiled in one accessible screen and can be searched in one easy, convenient pool.
A Redefined Course Summary Page
We're particularly excited about our completely overhauled course summary page. Unlike the old system, which simply presented a list of cards, the revamped page provides a detailed overview of each course. Now, you can quickly identify the estimated time a course will take, the number of lessons it contains, the types of resources used, and a sneak peek with a course trailer!
In essence, the new course summary page helps you decide if a course is the right fit before you dive in, saving you valuable time and ensuring a more personalized learning journey.
Glide Creator: Share Your Glide Knowledge
Creating courses and educational content about Glide also got a lot easier. The new Glide Creator app features an intuitive, user-friendly interface for creating course content, including text, images, videos, PDFs, and embedding web pages from our documentation library. Creators can now access a personal library of lessons they create, add multimedia to their courses, and submit their new courses for review and approval in a streamlined process.
Further, creators can create profiles that enable them to showcase their work, with the ability to add their website, booking links, courses, and more.
