We refined & focused Glide's power in 2024
David kicked off the session with highlights from our CEO roadshow in the spring. From manufacturing efficiencies at Hunter Douglas to complex property management systems at Westland Real Estate, these customer visits gave us a first-hand, in-person look at how Glide transforms real businesses.
On the platform side, this year's ongoing investment in Glide AI increased our capabilities with new features like document processing and image handling. We also achieved our SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 certifications, clarifying our security standards for larger, more mature businesses with more stringent security requirements.
Live updates came to Glide Big Tables, offering real-time visibility on data changes. Those live updates pair nicely with our new high-density Data Grid and Table collection components. These components look great in Dark Mode, which we also introduced this year.
In the fall, we brought column tagging to the Layout editor, making it easy for you to reference dynamic data in your components. We also released our AI Custom component, making custom design possible through iterative prompting.
Following the release of our AI Custom component, our Workflows beta brought powerful new backend automations to Glide. These Workflows, together with Data and Layout, create a seamless, interconnected digital environment for businesses.
So what comes next?
2025 will be the year of intelligent automation
Our primary focus in 2025 will be on intelligent automation — a blend of workflow automation with advanced AI capabilities, empowering businesses to tackle inefficiencies and streamline their operations in new ways. These intelligent automation solutions will be packaged as Glide AI agents.
The growing selection of AI agents will be supported by continued stability and security improvements to the Glide platform. Glide Experts will also play a crucial role in helping businesses realize the potential of these AI agents by lending their expertise through implementations and deep integrations.
